What color is this dress? I see white and gold

It has something to do with genetics and the cones in the back of our eyes. Similar to how some people like cilantro, and to others it tastes like soap. I think it is interesting myself, that different people looking at the picture in the same resolution can see different colors.

It was on our local news on TV tonight. The OH says it's green and white! Mind you, this is the man for whom green, blue and tan are all taupe and taupe is purple. I have wondered what traffic lights look like to him but he does the correct thing at lights.
