    How many loads of laundry?

How many loads of laundry do you do on average in a week and for how many people? I'm trying to buy detergent on a super sale for a non-profit women's facility, about half of the residents have kids and I'm trying to figure out how much to buy them for the year. I think we wash more often than most because all of our animals so I don't think we're normal.

    Thank you.

There are just 2 of us. I do 4-5 loads in a normal week. Not all are full loads but I sort things pretty carefully. That doesn't count dog related laundry, such as bed covers or towels because I don't do them weekly.

just myself and one dog, so probably not a good indicator, but every week 2 loads, sometimes 3. every other week, 4 loads, sometimes 5 (depending on dog stuff). mud season, pretty much 3 loads every week to keep up with the dog towels, plus the 4 -5 every other week.

Two people, three dogs. I'd say we average 4-5 loads each week. Heavy/bulky, darks, lights, sheets often wind up on their own or with similar stuff, and a separate load for really dirty and/or dog hair prone stuff like socks, dog towels, maybe a dog bed cover. Sometimes we'll go to town on dog beds, padding, bed covers, and so on.

This is my understanding of how it works. Faye is the laundry manager. I am vastly blessed that she so ably and efficiently handles it.

Just the two of us, two dogs. For the humans, it's 4-5 loads per week, more during summer gardening season. The dogs, 1-2 loads a week, towels and bedding. Now with the extra mud, there's an extra load or two of the blankets put down that they walk on first coming into the house.

With kids, you can almost double that amount, especially if there are infants.

2 of us, and it's about 5-6 loads. I wash all my work cloths separately. I'm a chef and my work cloths reek.

2 Adult humans in the house, I probably do 8-10 loads per week. That's clothes, towels, bedding.
But I like to separate thoroughly (DH is a mechanic - grease, oil, fuel, YUCK!), and I like smaller loads vs jamming a machine full.
