Do you share hobbies with your significant other?

We do but don't. It's kind of a complementary thing. I like to raise and care for chickens and goats. He likes to build housing for them. I like to garden. He likes the way it looks and the resulting food. He likes to join non-profits and help with their events. I like to bake for those events. So, sort of.

We both love boats! I like being in the water on one and he likes to look at them, polish, fix, shop for upgrades, etc.
He likes to fish, I like to eat fish. I like snorkel he likes scuba. I am the "lite version" of his obsessions.
Except for dogs. I like to walk, care for and do all the required tasks. He likes the kisses!

My wife and I pretty much have no common interests or hobbies. Over the years I have played sports, some at a very high level, the dogs have always been mine, but she helps out as needed. I've been riding motorcycles since I was 12, been a MSF certified rider coach, taught high performance riding on racetracks from New Jersey to Alabama for 6 years. I love to ride my road bicycle, she thinks a ride farther than around the block is crazy. I love to cook and bake, she barely knows where the kitchen is. I'm an adrenalin junkie, and she is more than happy to watch. Yet somehow we've managed to make a marriage work and thrive for almost 36 years. I guess sometimes it's just meant to be.
