I picked him up at a Frat Party while dancing to Rick Springfield and the Go-Gos. 29 years of marriage and shared bad musical taste.
We met at work.

My DH is employed as a mechanic for our town highway department.I was working as a “part-time” laborer. My father was the boss at thetime. One day I cornered DH between two dump trucks and said “you don’t have the balls to ask me out” and walked away. That night he called and asked for a date.
December 2003
We were near completion of a major renovation to the house he inherited. DH was pushing being moved in and the first night being Christmas Eve (regardless that we didn’t have the Certificate of Occupancy because we were 1 smoke detector short). Even though we had called a truce for Christmas gifts and décor that year, he still went out and got a tree and decorated it.Then Christmas morning he proposed.
This September will be our 10 year anniversary.
I really loved these stories. It makes me sad I don't have one to add.

The DH and I have worked together for over 27 years. I thought he was a pompous a$# for the first 12 years. He grew on me...

We lived in the same apartment building, met in the exercise room. I was using the stationery bike, he was using the weights. 25 years later, there are times when I'd like to run over him with my bike!
We met in college- we lived in the same dorm. He made me laugh & I'm still laughing after 35 years of marriage!
We met at a Super Bowl party at his house. One of my friends was dating his friend, and invited me to his house for Super Bowl. He was stationed at an Air Force base in N. CA, 45 minutes from my house. I had no clue there was even a military base that close to where I lived (I was 20). The day came and I didn't feel like driving 45 minutes to the party, so I told my friend I wasn't going to go. She begged me to come and told me there would be a lot of cute Air Force guys, so I decided to make the trip. Once I got there I immediately hit it off with my now husband. We've been inseparable ever since!
