My vote would be a deep gray, not too dark, with bright white trim, jet black shutters, and a bold turquoise front door.

My house is brick and stucco, but I just recently painted my front door turquoise and it looks so cheerful, lots of compliments from the neighbors. 95 percent of houses in my neighborhood are brick with black doors and I just had to do something less mundane!

My house is light gray with white trim and a bright yellow door. The gray and white was the color when I bought it, and unfortunately (in my opinion) it is vinyl siding so I'm not even sure I can re-paint it. The door was red, but IMHO, red is overdone and I wanted something a bit brighter, so I opted for the yellow. I have these white shingle things (reminds me of teeth) at the peak and was thinking of painting them different colors. It would be a little whimsical. My house is pretty plain. I wish it were brick, actually.

In a perfect world, I'd have a bungalow with a really great front porch and the house would be a mossy green with a yellowish trim, brick red accents, and I have to think about the door color. Something fun though.

Are you ripping out your foundation plantings? If not, I'd go for a lighter color so the bushes don't blend in too much.

My neighbor just painted her house a brick red with a hunter green trim. It looks awesome. It's somewhat masculine, too.

Yeah I am ripping out all the landscaping except maybe the small tree on the corner. Some of the landscaping just doesn't make sense. They planted a lot of big plants very close to the house. I am not sure what they were thinking. Like right in front of the big front living room window is a Lilac bush. of course every year, twice a year I have to trim it way down so it doesn't grow into the house or above the window. So of course since I have to trim it, it never blooms. Of the few times it has, it is only one or two blooms because it can't get big enough like a Lilac bush should. I have a Lilac bush out back on the properly line which is how Lilac bush should be, it must be 10 ft tall and huge around and has hundreds of fragrant blooms on it every year. That's one bush that is staying, but the one out front never gets to grow because where it is at.

Funny, I just cut down two lilac bushes in front of my house that were probably planted there when the house was built in the 1950s. They were done.

Jeff, I like the colors in the pictures you posted. You couldn't go wrong with that color scheme.

Was thinking about colors and remembered a house I loved. It was painted a deep barn red with white trim. It was spectacular set in a grove of trees. Color was similar to this: Red House Home Design Ideas, Pictures, Remodel and Decor
