I bought a pail of pitted sour cherries yesterday too. They are in the cold room, waiting for a cool day so I can make pies. I'm too lazy to pit all those cherries myself. I think it's about a 10 pound pail.

YIKES, would never take on a 10 pound pail of cherries to pit. Three pounds was enough.
I pitted, cut in half and put on cookie sheets on parchment paper and they froze beautifully. Archie is bonkers over them.
Did pick up some more peaches today; hopefully they are better.

I really enjoy fresh peaches (just ate 2 recently actually!) and I love cherries. Watermelon too.
Bought some more peaches and they are so yummy. Did buy more this time know now much I would consume while chopping them up for the furkids.

Our farm stand was out of peaches today so I bought a few at Fresh Market that were on sale for $.69. I only bought a few because you never know how they'll be. I guess if they're really tasty, I'll run back and get some more. Better yet, Albrights will be stocked up again (even though they're more expensive)! I like to try to support our local farmers.
I, too, cannot imagine pitting a 10 pound pail of cherries! Isn't that about a gazillion cherries?
