I never had any luck with the face blowing....I actually got a "scratch response" from one of mine who apparently didn't like air in the face.

So many things we have to do end up making us feel temporarily bad....till the next purr or tail wag (um....wag as in dog tail, not cat tail....if the cat's tail is wagging, watch out)

I hate that feeling! I've never understood why they don't just make all animal medicines in liquid form. That is bad enough, but at least you know it goes in. Pills are tricky. At least with dogs for the most part you can hide it in something and trick them. Cats, forget it! I've never done the blowing in the face thing. I usually just pry their mouth open, shove it in and hold their mouth shut until I feel them swallow.

I had to play nursemaid to my feral kitty, Mr. Binks, when he was a baby. His ears were horrible. It was so incredibly hard to pill him, clean his ears and put medication in them. I was ever so gentle, talking to him through it all. Today he is a calm happy and healthy 5 yr. old who is super bonded to me.

Thank you for caring for these kittens and good luck with them.

Poor little things, there was lots of squealing and squawking going on and Oban and the OH both came on the run to see who was killing who, never suspecting it was me being the villain. You are all right, they were fine with me later in the night and were all waiting at the door for their breakfast this morning.

But they got even. The little devils, today they knocked over a box of sewing patterns and ripped all kinds of tissue paper out. Little monkeys.

A couple of weeks ago I took all my spools and bobbins off the wall for fear of finding thread wrapped around a little leg or neck, after finding it wrapped around all kinds of things on the floor. A few weeks before that I found my laundry tub pump would not pump. OH has a big sign on the battery pack, Replace October 2013 and he'd forgotten. On his way into town to buy two of the great big batteries he wondered, is it plugged in? Nope, kittens had unplugged it and that is a big, tight fitting plug. It must have taken all four of them to do that.

Awe, but they love you :*)

Maybe your pills gave them super strength to get that plug out of the wall! hehe. Teenage Mutant Ninja Kitties.

I know they are just ordinary kittens, but to me they are wonderful, special, perfect. When they are not being little devils. All girls, their little backends are big enough for me to be sure now.

You are the grand champion kitten fosterer. I had it easy since I have the mother too but didn't, don't, you have to bottle feed two of the litters you've had? That is a huge commitment to make. What happens to the mothers of these kittens? Does the shelter separate them as soon as they can? Or do the kittens just get dumped without the mother? Oh they are so cute. Great names.

Most come just get dumped no mother. The 4 in the other litter had a mother but we wanted to get them before they because too wild and we wouldn't be able to home them. The mother had them under this womans house. We are going to trap and spay the mom who is feral and release her again. I got another little one today that a friend of mine found in her kids sandbox no mother either about 3 weeks so I put her in with this litter. I've had a total of 13 kittens from all the litters in the past few months. If these were puppies forget it they would never leave so I only do kittens lol.
