Does anyone watch Hand of God?

I had an instant dislike of this show but we have Amazon Prime and like both Ron Perlman and Dana Delany so I tried getting through the pilot twice. Nope. Things like trying to keep private the judge's very public half naked display in a city fountain in the middle of the day with people recording the incident on their cells just struck me as bizarre and outdated at best. That's all over the internet folks! There's no keeping that quiet. Then he starts letting people off in his courtroom right afterward when they are clearly guilty. Did no one make the "that guy's lost it" connection?

Does it get better? Opinions on this series?

Funny you posted this since I just watched the pilot. My brother and sister in law recommended that I watch it but not with them since it had some scenes that might be awkward😵

I agree that you have to suspend your disbelief on the hiding the judge's crazy. But I was intrigued by the last scene and will probably watch a few more to see if I like it.

I like shows with a little paranormal slant and I'm hoping this one has one as well.

OK can you give me a hint what it's about? I love Ron Perlman as an actor but there is not much in the lines of a description on what this is about.

From the description I got the impression this was a religious, churchy type show where a guys is resurrected and comes back and tells everyone about god in a preachy kind of way. So I had no interest.

I don't mind shows that dwell on god or the bible references but don't want to be preached to. Sleepy Hollow, Constantine, Dominion for example has a lot of biblical references, love those shows. I just don't want to watch a preachy kind of show which is what the description sounds like.

A judge (Ron Perlman) has a nervous breakdown or something and decides he's hearing the voice of God through some guy in a coma that he clearly has a connection to. This is as far as I could tell. Then he starts making judgments in the courtroom based on this voice. Dana Delany is his wife. I thought it was going to be some guy's slide into insanity or some such thing but it's really overblown from the get go. Maybe if I could get through the pilot . . .

Uh yeah there's no gospel on this show. I'm a Christian and I can tell you this is not a preachy show. There's a greedy former con artist preacher who steals money from vulnerable people (presumably the judge).
The judge thinks he hears messages from God which lead him to murder people and who knows what else.
    It's pretty dark. I'm on episode 3 I think/binge watching tonight...
