    big box for dogs

    hey guys & girls,

i want to buy a new box for my dog. last years we use a woven one but it´s not very stable. i looked for metal & wood boxes like this: 4pets Hundetransportbox Pro Line Condor - Hundexklusiv

Is this box to big - respectively i would like to know if its bad for the dog, if the box is too big because of slipping when it brake the car.

    Hi,

I'm not certain which size you are considering but I'd guess you need the large size for a lab. I'm not fluent in metric lengths. You would want your dog to be able to stand up, lie down, and turn around in his crate (box). Many people use either metal or plastic crates inside their cars for their dogs. If the crate is in the back of a truck, I'd get a metal crate. You might be able to find a bed or rubber mat to put on the floor of the crate to minimize slipping. My dogs lie down when riding in the car so they don't slip much when I brake the car. For comparison, here is a link to a crate one member uses for her 2 dogs. It is bigger and sturdier than many others use.

This is the type crate dogs use to travel in airplanes and some people use in their cars that includes sizing guidelines:

“Because of the dog's joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift. It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?”
