    I love these pants from Lands End. They are so comfy! I wouldn't wear them to garden in though. Women's Starfish Pants from Lands' End

    I got my sweats for after surgery at Walmart and Marshals. Most are very light weight. I also looked in the pajama section you never know what u will find.Good luck

    I just got Fruit of the Loom sweats, shirts and pants, from Walmart, on sale at $7.00 each. They are fleece, but a lighter weight than most. At that price, when they start looking nasty I can just replace them. They wash well and lets face it, yard work requires comfort, not necessarily beauty.

    Search for the Champion Cotton Polyester sweatpants.

    Here is a link to the ones I buy but they do have them in other colors. Elastic band with drawstring, not fleecy and last a good long time.

    I know u said sweat pants, but might want to consider "scrub" pants the medical field wears. There are such a variety of styles available. Drawstring or elastic waist. Boot cut or straight leg. Lots of pockets or not. Lots of colors too.

    Thanks everyone. Ordered 2 pair from Target and 2 other pair. The ones I have now are ancient and need to be replaced.

    Black Paws: Excellent idea.

    Think I've got what I need for after surgery and for gardening. I do have heavy sweats for the winter but like the lighter weight during the summer wading through the plants. Without, I get all scratched up.

    sweatpants = heaven

    Walmart has the best ones considering the price. You can spend more and get nicer ones but considering the price and quality(surprisingly pretty decent), walmart by far is the best. Theyre a little thicker though so it depends how thin you want them.

    You could also try some inexpensive 'joggers'. Theyre like the structure(or lack of) of sweatpants but made of flowy material theyre fairly trendy so lots of places have them at an assortment of prices.
