    Heart cancer.

This is crazy! Went to the vet today. They are fundraising for our vet's son who was recently diagnosed with heart cancer. Apparently, only 25 people a year are diagnosed with this. Just nuts. It's so rare that they don't even really know what to do about it. Poor guy.

No idea. The poster said that they had caught it early and he was in treatment but can't work as a result. Maybe they're trying chemo.

How sad. My husband, who passed away, had cancer of the pericardium (the sac around the heart) causing congestive heart failure. It had spread to his liver by the time it was diagnosed. He only lived 6 months even with surgery, chemo and radiation therapy. It is very rare and very devastating.

Oh Fran. I'm so sorry. I've always thought that my husband's condition was rare enough that it makes medical treatment difficult. Twenty-five people a year though is so rare that it must feel like nobody knows what the heck they're doing.

Oh no. I'm sorry, you probably have a unique relationship with the Vet so feel pretty badly yourself. Poor people.

That is so sad. Someone so young. Prayers for the young man.
Cancer is a strange disease. My mom died from gall bladder cancer. Her oncologist told us that only presents in 5% of the Worlds population.

She is one of the nicest people I have ever met. Her daughter just became a naturopath and she was so happy then she got smacked with this.
