I hope the outpatient PT went well for you. I'm sure you'll find good folks there too, they'd all want to be doing your PT with you being such a model patient! (well, except for washing the floor!)

Outpatient PT went very well. Most of the visit was spend measuring angles and stretch and flexibility compared to presurgical measurements. And, yes, the therapist is so very nice. Have a ton of exercises to do at home including a lot of walking. I prefer to have someone walk with me as I'm still a little wobbly with the cane. Might not get much walking done tomorrow as it's supposed to rain. Feel sorry for Trick-or-Treaters. GD is going to stay at the house with me to hand out candy; I won't have to be getting up and down.

Onward to three times a week PT for another 6 weeks or so.

Of all things to forget, did not keep tabs on the meds I'm taking and will run out today on pain med. YIKES! Though I'm taking way less than what I could take, still need it first thing in the morning and at bedtime to be able to sleep comfortably. Now the PA is chasing down the doc so I can get a refill.

Have so many different meds to take right now, it totally slipped past DH and myself. Sure hope this works out.

No meds till Monday! Instead, heavy doses of Tylenol. Since my pain med is a narcotic, I have to pick up a hand written prescription from the office on Monday and take it to the pharmacy. I'm in tears, how could I let that slip by. I'm not looking forward to tomorrow. Poor DH keeps saying it's his fault since he's the one who brings me the meds. No it's not!

Going to go with half doses as long as it lasts.

Oh Fran I feel for you. I hope you manage to at least get some rest.
I belive you can alternate tylamol and motrin. might be the best you can do till then.

    Take care

    Thanks everyone.

Dropped my pain med dosage to 1/2 a pill, which is 1/4 of original dosage when leaving the hospital. Although not as comfortable, I still did well. I was devastated Saturday knowing how much it can hurt, but by Sunday morning, the sun coming out and keeping my mind busy, got through fine. This morning doctor's nurse called and said the prescription was ready to be picked up and taken to the pharmacy. DH has stayed up, after working all night, to get the prescription delivered and wait for the meds. He just got home so all is well with the world.

Today is beautiful, sun shining, fall colors blazing, going up to almost 70, house open. Yep, today is going to be a great day. PT this afternoon will put a small kink in that, but heck, I'm improving.
