    Other people's dogs

I was waiting for my motorcycle to be finished up at the repair shop and was invited to wait in the office. With the very wonderful shop dog, Sprocket, who chilled with me on the sofa. I wasn't sure if she was allowed up, but she came up when I patted the cushion next to me and curled right up beside me. She's such a sweetheart.
Anyone else have a favorite "other people's dog" you wish you could take home?

What a great name for a motorcycle shop dog.

For a while our car garage had her parent's older GR. Unfortunately it was crabby. People were not supposed to walk a certain aisle to the garage without permission but they did. And the GR reputation, much like a Labs, that they all love everybody, caused some snappy, growling retaliation when some tried to pet her. OH was bitten just under his eye.

I have a few that belong to various friends....a Parsons Russell Terrier who is two years old, full of energy, and literally bounces up and down at times. He is just the most adorable little thing with a black patch over one eye, and I would love to see if I could truly wear him out. Another friend has a gorgeous female Presa Canario who I first met at six weeks old (though she was intermingled with her litter and two others so I don't know which one she was). Tux and I have watched her grow up, she just turned a year old this past summer. She is just the sweetest girl. She moved out of state over the summer, but we got to see her this fall at Barn Hunt Nationals. Presas are normally aloof with strangers, but my friend had assured me that she would remember "her people". I held my hand out for her to sniff and she did, she leaned forward for snuggles! And lastly another friend has a five year old Rottweiler who is just a doll. Biggest marshmallow ever, and he is always winning and Qing in all the Obedience/Rally trials he gets entered into.

My friend has a 2yr old border collie. She is the most gentle dog I have ever met. Whenever you walk in the door, she's extremely excited to meet you (and this usually takes place outside because she has a tendency to get "too excited"). She loves to cuddle next to you on the couch and lay on your feet when you're sitting. Ugh I wish I could take her home. She's beautiful!

We checked on our neighbors' dogs while they were out of town a few weeks ago. Both are sweet dogs but Bingo, the Rottie-mix rescue, was just sooo loving. He would just lean against me and sigh as I scratched him.

Kimber is not a huge fan of being petted, so I enjoy dogs who like some physical attention.

I do really like a lot of our neighbours' dogs, the crabby GR notwithstanding. I went out just now to tell the OH something and got distracted by Lucy down the street and had to go give her pets first.

I'm smitten by any dog that is all lovey-dovey wanting pets and leaning on me. Because this is very much NOT my Lucy.

I'd snatch up Thor if given the chance!

Seriously, my Son's next door neighbor has a Bull Terrier (like General Patton's dog) that is a real sweetheart!

My neighbor has a standard poodle who is such a sweetie. I would snatch him up in a second. Of course my mom wouldn't be too pleased to add a 3rd dog to the mix. haha. There are also tuns of dogs coming into my work all the time that i love. I'd pretty much take any and all dogs if i had the time, money and space. ha
