pretty boy. so nice and shiney! i miss horses.... did the back-yard horse thing growing up, that was such an education in so many things, rode hunter, bit of jumpers, and then into the 3 day eventing, till I went off to university. instead of waitressing or such for a job, i worked on a small thoroughbred breeding farm, where the owners had their pleasure horses as well, which I was welcome to work for them. Haven't had time or money for it since though... The smell, leaning into the neck, and feeling them nuzzle your back. Opening the door and walking into a barn on a cold January evening, seeing the heads turn, hearing the nickering...mmmm.
Sounds like he's found a good match!

What you say is so true. Had a period in my life that I worked at a private horse farm. Cleared my head, and learned so much. Great Life Lesson that did me well. And beautiful, gentle animals.

I love horses now that I'm older. The house we had growing up had a beautiful barn built by previous owners for their horses. Growing up my dad always asked if I wanted one but I always declined because of how much work I saw my friends putting in. Retrospect it was a good choice, but now that I want one and can't afford it makes it a little sour.

Someday I'll get one and I'll be the old lady learning to ride a horse and learn everything about them
