    Got really devastating news today

I am in disbelief and shock. About three weeks ago I went for my annual woman's exam. At the time the doctor felt a "thickening" in my right breast. I just went in for a mammogram and ultrasound. The doctor came in and told me she thinks it's cancer. I am scheduled for a biopsy on Monday at 2:00pm and will know at the end of next week the results. The doctor was pretty convinced it's cancer because of the way "it" presented itself.

I suppose the good news is they found nothing else in the breast - it all looked good except for the lump - nothing else out of the ordinary. She said I would have to have it removed regardless of what is. Probably a lumpectomy and radiation if it is cancer.

    Not thinking straight right now.

Oh no Nancy. I am really hoping the results will prove the doctor wrong. If not, at least that you caught it early. Breast cancer is treatable.

Will be keeping you in my thoughts and keeping my fingers crossed.

Oh gosh, Nancy. I don't even know the words to say. All my thoughts are with you. If I could reach through the screen to give a hug, I'd be right there.

It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?”
