Positive thoughts Nancy, a dear friend was diagnosed with breast cancer. She did have both breast removed and after a two year battle she is cancer free. Cancer is not the death sentence it once was, so many new treatments and options. Not trying to upset you, I want you to be positive as scary as it is. Cry all you want, you deserve that right to! And if it is cancer...kick its ass, because you can!

Crap. Can some one go with you to future appointments? You are frightened and as you say not thinking straight. A good woman friend might really help calm you and ask things you might forget. And remember stuff you're told that flies right out of your head. We are so much more advanced now in this area of health care but it's still scary. Good thoughts are with you.

I'll be ok. The initial shock is what's got me not thinking straight, but I'll get past it.

Sorry to here. I can relate, yes really. My sister has had several scares with breast cancer. Luckily all of them have turned out negative. The one all the doctors were sure too, but turns out to be false. So hoping yours is false too.

My mom unfortunately just got diagnosed last year with it, she is 86 and just got done with Chemo and is now going for radiation. Not a pleasant experience but hey she is 86, and she can make it through, so can you.

Oh and to make light of the situation, hopefully just to make you smile a little since I know its hard. New research shows Marijuana, can help prevent breast cancer, seriously it can. Gonna get you stone one of these days, cures anxiety issue too ;-) Lucky you that you live in a state where it is legal for medicinal use.
