I'm not a big Stars Wars fan and I've only seen the orginal one, but I volunteered to take the kids on the Mtn ( I'm in Utah).
I must say, it was damn good. I wasn't even lost in the story line.
I haven't ventured our yet. Our local movie theater is a bit of a let down so I am not in a hurry to get there but I really want to see it. Everything I have read or heard is more than positive.
I was a kid at the right age when the original series came out and supposedly this is just as good or better.
This was on display all week on our vacation:

We're going to try to get there on Christmas Day. It will be interesting to see how many people are there.
We saw it today, it is worth seeing in theaters! If you liked the original trilogy, you will enjoy this one.
Haven't seen it yet, but I am a big fan of the three first movies and I can't wait to see the old characters again!

I enjoyed it. On a par with the first three.
We are thinking of going to see it on Boxing Day. Really enjoyed the first three, second three, not so much!
We went to a 9 am showing Sunday morning. I've never been to the theatre that early, but since we live in a very church-y area, we were betting that it would be a less crowded time- and we were right. There was only about 20 people in the theatre.
Being born in the early 1970s I grew up with the first trilogy, but was never a big enough fan to subject myself to the prequels. I really loved THE FORCE AWAKENS. Apparently George Lucas had offered to consult on this film and JJ Abrams never took him up on it. I think that was a very good thing! LOL.

Not a big fan but really liked it and it didn't matter whether I was up on all the movies.
I'm a complete Start Wars geek, and while I wasn't impressed with Episodes I-III, I have watched them multiple times, along with IV-VI. I've been anxiously awaiting "The Force Awakens", and plan on seeing it in the next week or so. Doubt I'll see it here in Dover, the theaters at the mall suck. Will have to go to Middletown or Christiana.
