Those are so neat. It seems we are finding more and more that doing what used to be thought things for kids, lego and colouring books, keeps aging brains engaged and working. My Aunt is obsessed/consumed with puzzle books, the ones where you circle a word. We do notice some cognitive failure but then, she is 101. At her age it's also amazing she can see well enough and has the manual dexterity to do them.

Wow 101!!! I was thinking the same thing. When my mum was in the nursing home they would give the residents laundry to fold which isn't very taxing on the brain.

Forgot to add, the blue jay is my fav.

so cool! I had no idea about the birds till you mentioned it. growing up, we had lego, the living room couch was a mid-century thing with built-in end tables with a drawer on either end - those were the lego drawers. I have no idea how many hours my DB and i spent inventing and building stuff! They didn't really have "kits" back then, only as pre-teens and teenagers did we start to see the "special" lego kits in the Sears Christmas Wishbook and add them to our Christmas lists (only remember getting one or 2 over the years). I think mum and dad gave most of the lego to my db's kids, they may have kept a bit in case they had a visiting child that needed something to do.

Love doing cross word puzzles and circle word. They are my bathroom reading material. No wonder I have ring around the butt!

    WOW, 101! Go Auntie

Funny story - I tried to get my kids into lego but none of my 3 boys were interested. However I love lego. One year while shopping for christmas presents I saw the most awesome set of Lego at 1/2 price. It was still almost 100$ but I just had to get it for the kids. But my husband made me put it back saying the kids didn't like lego, and I built every lego set they had ever gotten so far. It dawned on me that he was right. Funny how I had never realized it until then.

Glad you found something you enjoy. I love the parrot especially but that's probably cause I have 2 parrots! My only complain about lego is my finder tips always hurt after doing it for a while.
