Fur love to mend a heart

    -image-3338132572-jpg

We adopted this fuzzy wuzzy recently. I haven't owned a cat in 20 years, and DH never has. This guy has already worked his way into our hearts. He's estimated to be about 6. He has some pretty bad hair loss on his back side from fleas. I figure it'll take a few months of good food to grow in. He'll sleep for hours on my lap, and purrs like a diesel engine.

Oh, I love him! He's so fuzzy wuzzy, you can't tell from the photo that he's missing any fuzz! Congratulations and now, tell us his name!

“Because of the dog's joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift. It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?”

He's BLACK. The best colour for a cat, if you ask me. What's his name? I bet your DH converts to a being a cat lover in no time, like mine did.

Watch out! My first cat (well, my son's cat to be truthful) has morphed into FOUR cats! Seriously, I don't know what has gotten into us!

Such a handsome man! Thank you for rescuing him. I'm sure in very short order he will be fully furred although I can't tell any fur is missing from the picture.

I'm sure the kitty is now in a wonderful place. We had one that looked just like that, only female. I hated that cat. She crapped all over the place including my bed. I admit I cried when she passed at the age of 15, but I wasn't sad she was gone.

We named him Boo. He can stand like an arched Halloween cat silhouette, and it just came to me when he took that stance and it seemed to fit.
Here's what his backside looked like at the day we got him. I actually think it's a bit better already, but maybe I'm just used to it. I gave him a bath and he was not a happy camper, but better behaved than Lucy about it - LOL!
