We're heading to a super bowl party hosted by all our diehard Seahawks friends. The only reason we're going there is because the Seahawks aren't in it, otherwise it is too stressful to be around them. I'm rooting for the Broncos solely because I want to move to Colorado

I'm not sure who Bubba is rooting for...he's just in it for the leftover nacho scraps he'll get.

Haven't turned the TV on in . . . a month? Don't expect to today.

    Green Chili Stew sounds good!

Took all three dogs on the long walk, ran errands. Faye's making butter tarts and other yummy stuff. I'm trying to clear some stuff off the desk. Later on we may sit outside for a while, enjoying the unseasonably warm weather.

Edited to add: I came across this Smithsonian article about women's football back in the 1930s.

We had a nice long walk and a romp with a 7 month old puppy. We went to Nose Work class then I wrapped some guides on my fishing pole. Maverick is currently asleep on the floor and I'm waiting for the game to start so that I can eat home made chicken alfredo pizza and chili cheese fries. Oh, and I'm rooting for the Broncos because I'd like Manning to win and hopefully retire on a high note.

I have been going back and forth as I didn't have a team this year (mine hired a certain QB) so have just been watching - While I would like to see Payton win one if he indeed is going to retire I can't help but hope Cam and his panthers pull this one off. Plus i love the fact that they give the TD balls to kids in the stands and they all seem to have a good time just playing the game.

Well my wife went out for regular groceries and ended making a buffalo dip, garlic cheese bread, potato skins and chili. There goes the diet for the day. Watching the game off and on.
    Thanks Everyone!!

I;ve been at dog trials yesterday volunteering and today, today Scout competed in Rally Excellent and Advanced in 2 trials. I was mostly pleased with how he was in the ring - other than losing 10 points in 3 of the 4 trials for "typical" Scout things (you want me to go fast from a sit???!!!! naw, i'll catch up to you before the jump), he actually was much improved over the fall trial behavior, so all in all not bad (who in their right mind uses FOOD BOWLS at a trial heavy on Labrador retrievers?!?!? judges who really want to either entertain the crowd or see who can resist temptation and pay attention to their handler, that's who! Scout actually got the lid off one of the dishes and carried it around the figure 8 and to the next station, more than a few giggles from outside the ring)
not a big US football fan - my parents and sil are Dallas fans, but they'll all be watching for sure. We just had a relaxing evening catching up on rest and the new X Files off the pvr.
