We are prepared to introduce ourselves and Michiganders who had a brief detour through California on our way to Oregon.

Absolutely! Also, bigger piece of land/house = room for more dogs. We absolutely want to be a multi-dog home, but our current place is a little too small for that! I already foresee myself as the Crazy Dog Lady.

Move to my village. We can do those things and it sounds like you'd be great neighbours.

You could also look into central/northern Wisconsin, the Yoop, or MN. Rivers, waterfalls, rock formations, numerous state parks for all kinds of activities. And if you go to a more remote part, you can still get a large piece of land for numerous doggies!

We love working from home. Sometimes my husband has to travel but I'm always here so having multiple dogs is so doable. You guys will have great fun.

Since both my husband and I have remote-status jobs (work from home in tech positions) there is nothing anchoring us to the Bay area anymore. We have no family here, our jobs can move with us, and although we have lots of friends here, we also have friends in any place we'd consider moving. I've loved my time in California but we are sick of the crowds and the long weekend drives to get to the mountains. I'm looking to cash out on our property and move somewhere where we can get something nicer for about 1/2 of what we'd sell our place for. In my world the house, area, community, etc is ALL about the dogs! I think it is great you can do things that way and having multiple dogs is just more fun for everyone! Sending lots of good thoughts your way!
