-40 With The Wind Chill This Morning

It's -29C but with the wind chill apparently feels like -40. Celsius and Fahrenheit meet at -40. Also a bright, beautiful high pressure day. The snowmobile trails just reopened two days ago but I don't hear a single one. What's it like at your place?

We were sideswiped by the cold you have. -16.5C right now, very light breeze, sunny. Great day to participate in the Great Backyard Bird Count.

Is that on today? I bet the cold is going to keep people home here and the birds will not be active either. A nearby village has their annual winter fest this weekend. They have a lot of indoor activities, thank heavens, it's too cold out for little kids.

It's on all weekend. Our feeders are already almost empty, I need to go fill them! Oh, I saw five robins the other day. They were staying close to a berry-laden tree (don't know the species).

Not as cold as you, -3 this morning. That's real temperature. Mardi went out and did her business quickly and came right back in. Archie had to check out the yard and ended up lifting paws and not wanting to walk. Think this is supposed to change a little each day getting back to more normal temps during next week. Tomorrow, snow, maybe 4 inches. I'm so tired of being stuck inside.

Forecast is sunny with a high of 70 today. It's a little foggy with a slight chill in the air right now, though. Best get out the puffy down jacket. /californian

We too are in goat weather (the temperature at which you move the goats inside). For us it's a record though. -33 F with wind chill. Then on Tuesday it will be 45. No one has any idea of what's going on.

Same here. I am still thawing out my face from my trip to Cosctco this morning. My sister is at the cottage and it's too cold to do anything outside. The snowmobiles are silent there too.
