Betty, love, I'll be thinking about you and holding you in my heart that all goes well. And we can live with arthritis pain, but getting that horrible metal out of your ankle is the best thing that could be happening. Sending good thoughts to Cristina, too, for helping you through these horrific months. You go girl, and let us know how it goes. Love ya bunches, lady.

Bett, humans were not meant to be held together with baling wiring and masking tape. Get that 'stuff' out of you and be human again so you can heal up and enjoy life. I think your recovery will be a LOT faster without those' embellishments'...........
And YES, you are going to walk out of the hospital on YOUR own two feet, ankles and legs---with a BIG SMILE on your face.

I'll join the chorus, sending good wishes that this will lessen the pain you've had.
And, well, you won't have any explaining to do if you ever have to pass through metal detectors.
