dang that's sweet! I'll be finding out this week if my office is going to let me transfer to phoenix, I'm pretty pumped about it but trying to keep my cool in case I dont get the position.

Do you have your dogs trained on rattlesnake awareness? I was going to have someone help me with that since I'll be hunting with Boomer and who knows what we'll run into

Hey, I hope you get to Phoenix. I'm several hundred miles out from there. I will tell you that yes, they have snake training in phx. I did Opie myself, in fact, he alerted me to the one shown in the pic. Also, AZ has more brands of rattlesnake than any other state of the Union with, (if my memory serves me right), 13. The most common one around phx would be the diamond back rattlesnake. On my property I've only seen 3, Mohave, Dback and Mojave sidewinder as shown. 4 breeds of the rattlers here are either endangered or protected.

I lost one of my dogs a few yrs back to a Mohave rattlesnake. It can cost thousands to treat them and with a Mohave snake, few survive. Luckily my little dog was a chihuahua and was done before I could get him loaded in the truck and did not suffer but a few mins.
