Chick pics - Day Twenty Four

We bought the Fort Knox chicken coop today. After tomorrow's storm, I'll put it together and post a pic. The basic model is this:

American Kennel Club 4 ft. x 8 ft. x 6 ft. Uptown Premium Dog Kennel Kit-308606AKC - The Home Depot

and we picked up a 3/4" oak floor. We'll fill in the gaps with slats and put an extra layer of wire on the exterior. If this works, we are thinking of stepping up the operation.

The pictures are: Keeping it clean in an Exorcist kind of way and a teen moment - all of the new stuff coming in but sticking out in all the wrong places.

This is actually my favorite phase. They're not so little that I'm afraid I'll hurt them when I pick them up to, say, clean them up but I can still do it with one hand. They aren't so temperature sensitive anymore. They learn something new every day. And they look like total dorks.
