Buy a new microwave and don't do what you did to cause the "FLAMES"
Here's what I've tried so far:
1. Dishsoap
2. Clorox wipes
3. Steamed the inside of the microwave with vinegar and wiped.
It's still noticeably black where the flames hit the top. Any ideas?

Hope all is well and have a great day

I scrubbed with baking soda and vinegar and that didn't work, so I added dish soap to the mix. The round plastic thing in the top came clean, but the metal on either side didn't come all the way clean. It looks less flame-licked/black and more dingy. Better.
Have you tried bleach diluted with warm water and dish soap? I'd also try a very gentle SOS (Brillo) type or a similar plastic type.
I think you have to be super gentle with it because you wouldn't want to destroy any of the protective coating which could cause even more blackening.
Good luck!

I remember my mom using cream of tarter on hard to clean stuff.
Try mixing up 3 teaspoons of cream of tarter and 1 teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide, Combine the ingredients together to make a paste, and then rub it on the stainless steel with a clean cloth and let it dry. Once it is dry you can wipe off the dried paste with water and then buff dry with another clean cloth.
Google it there’s a lot of uses for cream of tarter.

Try the Mr. Clean dry eraser. That cleans a LOT of stuff. It is made with fine pumas so it leaves scratches. Don't use on your reading glasses
