Salad Bars - what do you want to see?

I guess it''s all how you look at it. I don't go to specific stores just to get their weekly specials, don't spend time clipping coupons, but if I'm at a store and was going to buy red grapes anyway but I need to swipe my card at check out, that takes less than 15 seconds to extract from my purse, so that I can pay $2.49/lb rather than $3.99/lb, or buy name brand soda at 4 cartons/$10 rather than $5.49 apiece, it really doesn't tax my time or energy to do so.

Are they tracking my buying preferences? Yeah, probably, but who really cares if I buy Hunts or Del Monte diced tomatoes, Charmin or Angel Soft? Would it be easier if they just marked the prices down for everyone? Sure. Am I going to leave the savings on the table just because I have to swipe a card? Heck, no!

I view that as totally fine, That's what I was saying, if I go to a store and type my phone number in, and get a discount, for something your already going to buy, thats fine. Like the light bulbs thing, I was buying light bulbs the clerk said he we have a coupon, great. If your going out of your way, researching and stocking up then that's an issue and where you need to look at the cost.

Me though, I am not going to carry around a bunch of bar code things. They just don't fit in your pocket.
