I actually really like to cook and be outside. I planted my own garden this year and a couple fruit trees so I spend my time with them . When the Fall arrives Sunday and Monday night are reserved for football.

coooooool!! I don't sell any, but it is so much fun to make polish! I had planned on starting up a brand, but with time and money constraints (and I need to find a better place to work!) it's just a fun little thing. Polishing my nails is the last little thing I seem to be able to manage anymore!

The dogs and my grandchildren are my main focus. I take care of my almost 2 year old granddaughter and almost 5 year old grandson a couple days a week. Fortunately, I love baking and cooking and often make dinner for the extended family here in Portland.
We really enjoy traveling and hope to do more of it once DH retires in a few years. I have so much fun researching the trips and trying to create a non-touristy experience of an area - which usually means renting homes through VRBO or the like and exploring by foot, public transportation or rented car. Tasting the local foods and wines is always a highlight for me. A first-time trip to Spain is on our short list.
I get a lot of satisfaction out of researching something new in depth and that often leads to a new hobby . . . at least for a while. I participated in a homesteading course and got into making my own bars of soap for the last couple of years. I appreciate the purity of making home-made products.
And although I am by no means a skilled gardner, I've had a ball learning about (and often purchasing) all the plants here in the Pacific Northwest the past eight years. It's a real treat for someone who lived most of their life in the freezing cold winters and scorching hot summers of the midwest.
I usually like what I can include Opie in. I basically like exploring historical sites, ghost towns and abandoned mines. I am fascinated with history and genealogy. I like shooting pics and twanging on a guitar occasionally.
Fascinating to see all the hobbies everyone has.
Love spending time with the grans but as they grow, they are so involved in things, it's harder and harder to get time with them. Quilting is a favorite; trouble is I get so many projects going at the same time. Love baking, cooking not so much; that's DH's specialty. The house smells so good with bread baking in the oven not to mention how it tastes. Collect vintage colored glass and use it, it's doesn't sit on a shelf. Both my parents were genealogists and published books so that side of the family is well documented. Have just started on researching DH's side of the family, mainly his mother. The family story is that they are related to Pocahontas. They come from the right area so the search is started. Also really enjoy gardening, more flowers than veggies although I've put in a herb garden this year. As a teen/young adult I was involved with competition shooting; would like to get back into that. Just about any type of crafting I find enjoyable including being involved with DH's wood working.
My life was filled with traveling with Dad being in the military and have enjoyed being in one spot; in fact, this is the longest I've ever lived in one place. But now the travel itch is emerging. It's not possible right now with Mardi. Have been doing many more local trips with Archie and it's a blast. Of course, a lot of my time is spend with Mardi and Archie and it's so fulfilling. They've taught me so much about what is really important in life.
Love Further, moe. and WSP...we've seen them all several times, but Phish is my favorite (I've seen 30 shows with dh, and when he was younger he used to go on tour in the east and south. We're going on a mini Fall west coast tour in October...without kids!!!
I love knitting, nothing like getting my granny on with some quiet knitting time. I started a couple of years ago when we were spending so much time in clinic for both of the boys, and I've stuck with it. I'm currently working on a cardigan for myself, and it's calming to work the needles. I also love to bake, although I've done less and less the longer I'm home with the kids. Canning and food preserving is something I've done more of in the last few years, and we also raise chickens.
I bought a mandolin a while ago, and I'm enjoying getting back into music (I grew up playing violin, fiddle, and piano).
One of my passions is supporting families who receive a new autism diagnosis through a local nonprofit. I also run a support group for families who homeschool their kids on the spectrum.

Baking, growing stuff, landscaping, home improvement, cooking but I'm not nearly as good at that as baking, chickens, goats, composting.
My boyfriend and my jeep, lol. Not in that particular order though
