    Fingers crossed!

My niece has made it to the interview stage of getting into Ontario Veterinarian College. I read what the next stage is; eight stations with different scenarios, you have two minutes to read the information and then discuss it with the interview for eight minutes. This would be one of my worst nightmares. I hope she gets accepted, it's been her lifelong dream, plus I think she would be a good veterinarian.

Good luck to her. She's already done her first two years of science? Or have things changed?

She's actually finished her BSc. I think most people don't apply until after they've completed their BSc.
I told her there's no way I'd want to do that interview thing. She said no worse than some of the other hoops she had to jump through already and it will be eight chances to make a first impression and she just hopes they are good ones.

Isn't that funny, just last night we were watching Rocky Mountain Vet and a schoolchild asked him how he got to be a Vet and he said most people take 8 years of university. But he took 10 or 12, something like that. When I was at Guelph everybody I knew applied after the second year, if they had the marks. I girl I rode with, she was a year ahead, she applied and did not get in. Maybe she went on in her Bsc and tried again, I'll have to look her up. Once again, good luck to your niece.

I almost wanted to cry when my youngest decided on human medicine rather than veterinary medicine, lol! Best wishes for your niece!

How exciting and how scary, that interview process! I do better with written responses where you can edit what gets read rather than just spouting whatever comes out of my mouth, bypassing my brain on the way out. Much good luck to her during her interview and in vet school, which she surely will attain!

oooo, lots of good luck! that sounds like a hard kind of interview! but I like her take on it, 8 chances to impress!
that had originally been my dream, before i started flying, and at that time i believe you needed a min of 2yrs of sciences (and fantastic marks in those 2yrs), and most folks who really wanted in started applying then, and kept applying while they finished up their BSc..... i hope she does well!
