Love it. And the colors in the rug give you such great choices for accent colors!

great looking furniture, wow solid oak, nice! Really like the hardware on it too
Agree with the others, pull a colour you like from that wonderful Joseph's - coat rug. Since its a bedroom with lots of windows, I'd be tempted to go with one of the medium-dark colours for darkening properties. Or if you're going to do black-out liners, I'd pick one of the lighter neutrals in the rug that compliments the wall colour (hopefully you pulled the wall colour from the rug...) and do the main part of each drape in that, with a vertical band of your favorite colour from the rug on both edges of the drape (say 3/5ths in the Centre of the neutral, with a 1/5th on either side in the colour). And wow, you had a king bed in there before? You must be loving all the extra floor space now! (although missing the bed space, I couldn't give mine up!)
    Just lovely furniture!

Thanks all. It does look pretty plain. I have the no decorating skills. Scoutpout, love your ideas for the drapes. May have to make my own.

Had to laugh when looking at the picture, so much room. You should see it now with Archie's crate and Mardi's bed in there.

So has the bed been comfortable for you? Sleeping well in it? Always nice to get a new bed, but sometimes it takes a bit to get used to. Unless you use the same mattress from the last bed.

We stuck with the old bedroom set, king size, because we had a fabulous mattress. When it was time to get a new one, that's when we decided to change everything out. Was anticipating some restless nights but the new mattress is so comfortable. Slept so well from the first night.

Great to hear. Sometimes it does take a bit to get used to something new after using another for so long. Hoping you enjoy many restful nights.

It's LOVELY and all I can say is: it's real furniture. I remember that a long time ago I spent some time living in my GF's late grandparents' apartment and the bed was so old-fashioned - real wood, solid wood, the design conservative, efficient, and beautiful. They simply don't make these amazing things anymore, and that's a real shame.
