    Air Plant Bloomed

OK, this might not be exciting for some, but it takes years for these things to bloom. Over the last year several have had "babies". Within the span of a week, this one turned pink and shot up purple blooms for the first time.

The plant above it, with the long curved spike, that's the way it blooms and creates seeds.

You can see in the long curley legged plant below, at the very top if it, it is turning color and getting ready to bloom. Not near as spectacular though. It's taken it months to get to this point.

Wow. Will it bloom again next year? Now that it's started?

I have no idea, LOL. But, the others have bloomed about once every other year.

Cool! I never had one bloom either. Do you mist it at all or is it on its own?

“Because of the dog's joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift. It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?”

Congratulations on this plant blooming. Have never seen anything like it. Definitely interesting and love the coloring. Hope it comes back for you again. Definitely makes you wait, but truly think it's uniqueness is worth the wait.

    Thanks for sharing.
