    I named the chickens

Yep, now I can't eat them. I warned my husband, but nooooo, he said they needed names.

The two sexlinks (Mango and Cheeto) are light orange so they're named by color. I also have a hard time telling them apart.

The silver laced Wyandottes are named by personality - Loki got the name because she like to terrorize Thor. He loves the chickens and is very interested in them. But that little black one will run up to him and peck at his nose/paws/whatever, like an annoying little sibling. Thus, Loki. Doddlebug is a bit absent minded and tends to wander off and not pay attention to to whats going on.

Nugget is the smallest and Snickers is names by color. They were both sold as Americaunas but are probably easter eggers.

Lastly, my two Rhode Island Reds. Peaches was the first to get a name since she was the color of a ripe peach when she was all chick fuzz. She's also the most affectionate. Pickles got her name because...well, alliteration and it was the only name I could think of after figuring out the others.

So adorable. It's going to be interesting to see their coloration as they mature.

Our friends have chickens. They just got some Swedish chickens so they all have Swedish names.

Now that they have names, you'll have to start planning their playground...Fowl Play Products - The Chicken Swing

Apparently naming "pets" is no problem for you, eight named at once! I struggle to pick the names for my dogs, who come one at a time!

They are adorable. Of course you named them...isn't that a prerequisite for being a member here?

(My favorite backyard squirrel....the reason I started feeding squirrels...is known as White Tail.)
