We had the most marvelous weather ever in Virginia City. It remained in the 70's. I've been up there on the Labor Days when it was an utter ordeal in corset, chemise, petticoats, hoops, more petticoats, and skirts/bodice not to mention gloves. Makes you appreciate what being a woman 150 years ago was like. I've been up there when a weather front came in and it dropped 40 degrees in 2 hours. The wind picked up tents and deposited them on the roof of a near-by hotel. (No one was hurt.) I'll tell you... life on the Comstock was not for sissies. Still isn't. But I love it up there.
