"Brace O' Brookies"

Aye Mates,
With the exception of spraying a few coats of Grumbacher Final Fixative over the painting, "BRACE O' BROOKIES" will soon be on it's way to me framer. Since me last post added some gradation of light within the vertical water column, air bubbles and aquatic plant life to suggest direction of water flow, fine gravel deposits betwixt the large rounded cobble, and more detailing to the fins and heads of both trout. Not showing up well in this photo are layers of metallic pastels in rocks, sediment, and the trout, a very nice effect when viewed in varying angles of light.

I have spent many grand hours in pursuit of native Brook Trout throughout New England, only to catch them, admire them, and release them. Gems o' nature!

This painting will be donated to raise funds for the C.O. JAMES V. SPIGNESI JR. MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP in tribute to me fellow squadmate shot and killed in the line of duty on 20 NOVEMBER 1998 whilst conducting a foot patrol to combat illegal poaching of whitetail deer. NEVER FORGOTTEN BROTHER!
