No, that’s why I’m so baffled. She hasn’t gotten anything new. No treats, food, ANYTHING.

Jake will be going to the Vets sometime today too for the same thing - his doesnt seem as severe as Tide's does, but for the last few days he's been squirting off and on, but it also is not effecting his mood or playtime, but this morning he passed up on bfast, which is unlike him..

{{HUGS}} to you and Tide that she's feeling better soon!!
Poor Jake! Did he get into anything? Please keep us updated ……. I hope he’s OK.

Uh oh, I hope Chase feels better soon.

Thanks for checking in everyone. Tide had an uneventful night, thank goodness. She had 3 more bouts of diarrhea on our walk, but she made it through the night OK. I heard her move around at around 1:30, crazy mommy ears that I have now, so I thought she may have to go. Well, she only peed then came back in to go to bed. Then this morning on our walk, she had a semi-solid poop! It wasn’t solid by any means, but it wasn’t liquid either which to me, is a good sign. I’m just hoping that whatever it was, has passed. I hate seeing my girl like that. I’ll keep you all updated.

Hope she's feeling better Amanda!!

Nelli just went through that this weekend. Poor thing exploded all over inside her crate - TWICE... then had to figure out a way to lay down without getting it on her. I felt so bad for her.

The entire weekend she had boiled chicken and rice and then slowly a little kibble on Sunday. By Monday she was normal again.

We had a big pot of oil (we made fries) and a big pot of clam chowder sitting on the stove and I decided to throw them in one bucket and then go dump them in the woods. Hubby said he saw her at that spot several times - but he didn't know I dumped all that stuff there. We figured she had a little oil overload. I felt so bad.

Give Tide a big from me and Nelli.

He didnt get into that I know of - we had those awful rains last week, and I dont know if he got some dirty water, or has been eating the acorns in the yard (blasted acorns!!) or what, but his poops start off solid and then turn into squirts..I am embarrased to admit, but for Avery's bday on Monday night he got half a cupcake (yellow cake mix) iced with peanut butter, so maybe that did it? But he's been having on/off squirts the last few days..

I talked to the vets and they said to give Jake bland food tonight and see how he does on that - the squirts have not effected his mood or playfulness, so they arent too concerned yet, but if the squirts continue on bland food, then we bring him in tomorrow...

Glad to hear Tide appears to be feeling better. I may be overreacting, but whenever Major has the squirts or throwing up, I withhold food for that next meal. It seems to help his stomach reset or get whatever is in there out. I do make sure he's drinking though, sometimes mixing a dash of chicken broth in with his water to entice him to drink it. Just enough to add a hint of flavor to the water.

But anyways, I'm sorry I didn't see this sooner. I hope she continues to do well and all this goes away. Sending our biggest hugs and best thoughts her way!

Just looking for this morning. They can eat Rabbit, Deer, Racoon , etc poop and it can give them a bacterial infection. Can you take a sample to the vet for testing? The symptons can occur within a day of the eating. And the poop can be fine for a day or half a day and then the squirts again.

I hope she continues to improve. Sounds like she is on the mend. It's so scary when this happens.

Hudler just had that bug last week, and I know he doesn't eat miscellaneous yard crap like rabbit turds. I think it just happens, like it just happens with us. He pooped in the house, which is like the 3rd time since he was a puppy. I found it's better to do straight rice and not give any kibbles. I mixed it with some canned pumpkin and yogurt, and it was cleared up in 2 days. I also gave him some Bene-Bact. You should look it up, it's worth having around the house. It's for dogs, and it's a MEGA dose of the "good" stomach bacteria.

Thanks. I'm going to see how she is when I get home. if she continues to have the squirts then I will definitely be bringing in a stool sample.

Where can I get this?

BTW, totally off topic, but those pics of your son's new pup on the stairs are just too adorable. He looks like a little black bear! I have a new crush now......
