More training with a trainer, more often would probably help.
    Well, you ARE fighting an established behavior. That's normal. It is possible, with time, consistency, etc. and more. I think the recall is one of the harder ones to rehab though.

    [QUOTE=Labradorks;138521]Do you mean R+?

    Nothing is fool-proof. Even e-collars. If the dog wants something bad enough, they'll push through it. Maybe not your particular dog, maybe not this time, and maybe you did things perfectly right for your dog, but it happens quite often. They are living, breathing, thinking beings and, like humans, there is no such thing as a 100% success rate among any one method.
    Yes R+ Sorry. I could throw a steak and recall. All my dogs will come back. Period. They also have a relationship where they want to be with me. And no they wont run through it. They don't wear an E-Collar at all times but they are trained. I hunt around Rail Road tracks and roads My stupidity but my dogs have to stop chasing a running Pheasant and return if needed. Vic

    Bernie I replied to your P.M. sorry it took so long. Vic And to reply for Anne. You need to make yourself the silliest, happiest person they have ever been around when they come back. Praise them, jump around with them. Make them think they are the BEST DOG IN THE WORLD when they return to you. It is best to start this when the are pups, as you can still chase them down at this point. But it works on older dogs too. It just takes longer. You should be so animated that if people see you they think you may have mental issues. Returning to you should be FUN!!! Vic
