Thor was so well behaved at ~6 months old that we put away the crate. It came out again at about 9 months. Teenage brat.

Samson and Asher are driving me nuts with their antics. It's non-stop. I didn't know I had so much patience.

It's strange. Our two other dogs were 6 when Rocket Dog joined the pack and she is not the top dog on the totem pole. If the other dogs don't want attention, there is no one to play with. I think RD has just accepted that that's how things are so maybe they taught her to self-settle (I've never heard it called that.) Very occasionally, RD and Bridget will be laying around near each other and just do some desultory mouthing of each other's faces... but they don't bother getting up from the rug.

I know it will get better, Barry. Hang in there.
