so the prong we have is not the best quality... Looking for a herm spenger... It appears there are many imitations out there. the ones on Amazon have reviews saying made in China/fakes...

Anyone have a solid source to buy the real deal? thanks!

Can't go wrong w/ Gun Dog Supply imo. MEDIUM Herm Sprenger Quick Release Chrome Plated Steel Pinch Training Dog Collar #6421H. $22.95.

I personally like the quick release. If you don't, then Chewy has some also w/o it. Herm Sprenger Ultra-Plus Prong Training Dog Collar, 16-inch - Chewy.com

Martingale's and easy-walk harnesses. I have not used a martingale but have used a harness.

I also have an Easy Walk Harness that I use with Forest. I really like it as it keeps him from pulling and it is easy to control him when we meet others on our walks.

I use a Gentle Leader body harness on Zachary and that works very well for us (but he's an easy dog to train). I also use a Dogtra Pet IQ e-collar (using the vibration mode 99.999% of the time -- I used the "Nick" only once) plus treats (a few pellets of his food) in training him to retrieve.

I have a martingale one.qhich I do not like as Gigi seems.choking. I use the e z walk harness she even pulls that thing as she is strong.
I also have the herm Spengler Which I use sometimes . Very very rare.

Of all the ones the prong coller makes Gigi become happy as she knows I am taking her some place new , fun and very simulating ...
