    Training for a mobility scooter.

I have been putting of this day for a long time but I need to have one. I see it a defeat but need to try and look at it as a tool of going places I have not been able to go to in a long time. Molly needs to learn how to be next to the scooter. We did train for this during her training but it has been a while. We will take it slow when I get it. Training on turns and stopping, backing up, left and right and grabbing items to put in the cart if they fall. I hope I haven't forgotten anything. Any suggestions welcome.

Molly seems to be a bright and motivated dog who wants to please you. I know she'll catch on and probably quicker than you think. My sister has M.S. and has used a scooter for almost everything she needs to do outside the house. It has enabled her to live a very, very active life. Some of the things she does... maybe the scooter is overkill, but then again... it keeps her from getting seriously fatigued. I think it has kept her healthier than if she insisted on using her walker for everything.

    Best of luck to you.

Its going great. We have been training on The road in front of my house, I live on a very quiet road. Next we will go to a Costco and make sure my signals work there. The isles are very wide and we can go off peak. She seems to be right with me as if we on a leash only Dif is she gets to move a lot faster. For now I am calling it the pet mobile because both girls are enjoying daily walks now.
