At the moment, Bobby is 11 months old and just a fortnight or so away from his first birthday! He can be a brat at times and make me want to bang my head against the wall. Recall has gone out the window and we have restarted with a new word since everyone is using "come" without him obeying. To be fair, we have been slack with training the recall considering the weather. Manners have also been whisked away and we are working through the humping and reminding him no teeth on skin. We also need to work on greeting people which is a bit difficult since we don't get visitors but I'll find a way. The goal is to get him to accomplish down-stays and polite greetings outside the local supermarket.
Archie is almost 16 months, and all of this happened with us at about the same time. The biting came back, recall disappeared. I'm happy to report it's getting better again, but it's a process.

He's a good boy overall. His greatest weakness is polite greetings. He has to be crated when guests arrive and cannot say hi to kids on walks, so we continually work on that and hope that one day he can be the neighbourhood kid loving dog he wants to be.

His leash walking is getting way better, he's much more polite with other dogs, and is just a great joy to have around.

Bacon is nearly 11 months old and a little ball of energy. He just competed in his first Dock diving competition. He and Jake are also doing great on Hunting training. They are working extensively on scent training and water retrieves.

We are working still on recall. He usually has 100%, but lately he has been selective in his hearing. I am SO loving this....

He has been doing great playing with new people, meeting people (although he has been nervous around tall men lately), and dropping the ball when we ask.

We love him more than words can say. My sweet boy! I can FINALLY snuggle with him without worrying about biting

Luna is a year and almost 2 months. She has still not grown since 7-8 months old (or maybe she has and it's too little for us to notice!). She has become a tiny little rocket of energy, so we have been spending lots of time swimming, playing fetch and at the dog park. I need to practice appropriate leash walking and polite greetings, she has gotten a little crazy peppy excited when meeting people she already knows.

Chester is almost 8 months old. His behaviour inside our home has improved. He actually will accept hugs and cuddles now without trying to rip our hands off. He will sit patiently for treats and rarely jumps on us.

However, it is still a completely different story when we have visitors. He becomes so over-the-top with excitement that he jumps like a maniac. His excitement will last only a couple of minutes now, but it seems like an eternity when trying to get him under control because many visitors are not "dog people". So much so that I have family members who are terrified of dogs, so they no longer like to visit because he is so happy to see them (too bad they aren't happy to see him ).

He is a very strong physically, so walking him has become a challenge as he pulls now on the leash. This poses a real challenge for me because I am dealing with a previous wrist injury. Maybe a prong collar will help from what I have read? Any thoughts?

For the most part, he is a completely different puppy from a few weeks ago. He still challenges us, but at least he seems more focused.
