That may sound a bit b****y but you wanted a puppy then you have sleepless nights
Shelby was pretty much the same, Barney was good with her during the day but he wasn't very happy with her in the night. Shelby was crated in the night till she was potty trained then she was moved to sleep with us. Our dogs have beds on sides of our bed so we were working pretty hard to teach her where her bed is.
Do Barley know where is his place? Will he go there when you tell him? That's what we started with, teaching a command: "go to your bed", we had treats on the shelf by her bed and at the beginning one of us (ie me or my OH) were just taking her from Barney's bed to hers and she was given treats there and Barney was told to go back to his bed. She learned after about 2 weeks where she should sleep.
Don't forget Barley is just a little puppy and he needs some commitment

Not to be rude, but looking at that picture, Moby may not be as bothered as you think. I know from experience that my older lab, 12 1/2, is restless during the night no matter what. Maybe Moby has moved a bit before, and you didn't really notice it until you got the puppy that needs to be let out? Just a thought.
