Gauge is stong willed hes such a fun dog tho because he learns so quickly but its also a curse because if not mentally stimulated and if I don't keep up on his training he will challenge me to see if I mean business. Not so much anymore as when he was a little younger. I use a combo of correction and positive training. He was never a jumper tho so I can't help you with that. He does go crazy when people come over but never jumps just runs around them. I did teach him settle so he will calm down once I give him that word.

I used an e collar with Cassie and found it helpful to proof her commands, and to train off leash at distance commands. I wouldn't use it to punish, but to train a specific response to a command. So not to stop jumping, but to sit/stay when someone enters the house. Hope I'm making the difference clear.
