    Poo - yum yum

Juno had developed a new obsession. Poo. Dry fox poo and horse poo. She eats it like it is a delicacy and rolls in it. It is gross. She is not interested in fresh poo or her own poo it has to be dry fox or horse. She makes a beeline for it and gobbles it down before I can stop her. It actually makes me feel sick.

Now not only does she smell of pee pee due to incontinence but she has poo breath

    Any suggestions....

It's a question of training. Train a solid leave it and recall and keep her no farther than you can see to issue the command. If it is happening often enough you may need to keep her on leash/long line in areas you know have these things so you can work on the training aspect first.

A solid recall and leave it is the best I can suggest. It's a nasty habit but totally natural.

Better supervision. The fact that she makes a beeline for the crap (bad pun) tells me you don't have her on a leash. Nothing wrong with supervised visits outside. I've done it for months to deal with issues. The dog learns to sit quietly by the door until the leash goes on.

Yep, a long line and train "leave it". Unfortunately it is a nasty habit and hard to break. The rolling in it, I sympathize with. I live in an area heavily populated by Amish. There are always large piles of horse poo in the roads. Maxx would happily roll in each pile we came to if I did not have him on leash. The first time he dove in to a pile, head first, I was horrified, nothing like walking home a cute puppy covered in horse poo with a huge smile on their face! Emma avoids all poo, thank goodness.

Thank you all - long leash it is! She is great at recall and drop in house and when out apart from when poo is involved - she just looses all self control I suppose a bit like me and chocolate (although I don't roll in it honestly!).

I did laugh at Maxx and the horse poo!
