This is something we're looking into for our puppy as we live in Arizona and have started hiking with our pup. Any idea where I might find information on classes around my area?
Thank you for sharing your experience!

Hi, I did an internet search and found numerous locations offering the Rattlesnake Aversion Training in Arizona. You might take a look to find one close or convenient to you.
What I can tell you is that while not 100% it does work. There are too many variables that can come into play but you would be giving Stig a better chance to avoid a painful and costly snake bite. I've seen my dogs react twice to an encounter after their training. Once to the sight of a Rattler and once to the sound. Both times they went out of their way to get away from the Rattlesnake. It's interesting that other local snakes, Gophers and Boas don't bother them in the least so I'm certain they are able to distinguish the difference. I highly recommend this training and hope you and Stig never have an encounter on your excursions. Ron

I ended up googling and found someone who offers it about an hour from us. I'm going to call this week and schedule an appointment.
Thanks again!
