    I work on leash walking daily. I use a martingale collar. When/If she pulls I stop or change direction.

    Here we have deadly rattlesnakes and it was important to teach Opie not to chase lizards or snakes, to "leave it" and get away from it ASAP not when he felt it was time to stop playing but on command. I wanted him to be aware that a snake means BAD and to back off instant. This is the only thing I use an E collar for and it is a rare thing.

    I now understand that E Collar should only be used in a life or death situation. I don't keep it in my mind as a regular training tool anymore.
