I haven't used this collar, however I know ruffwear makes one called the Headwater.

The dublin dog collars look nice though!

we love the Dublin dogs collar. We bought the orangeish red one and it is still bright and vibrant two years later. and never any smells, even after lake water.

    I have a suggestion...

Don't require your dog to wear a collar in the water. There's a reason field dogs don't work with collars on. They can get hung up on branches and other vegetation. Just sayin'.

Alternatively, there is a new(ish) company called Wetmutts and they mostly make (fabulous) mats for crates. But I was at a hunt test that they (among others) sponsored. In addition to the mats they donated, they offered collars in several handsome colors.

Check them out for both the mats and the collars.

I don't know about hunt tests but we go to pheasant shoots and take our dog on real hunts as well and I always see dogs with collars on, most of them have e collars on. We put the biothane collar with the ring in the middle on D. If they get "caught" the collar can flip over easily

You're right. Since the advent of the e-collar a lot of hunters use it while hunting. We obviously use it when training in the water. That said, we know the water in which we're training because it's a specific training pond or water we use regularly... (at least, back in the days when we had water) and we know it's free of debris. But hey... if the dogs are on a release and it's just a fun swim or walk through the countryside... what need is there for a collar?

And the brown trout pattern looks very handsome with his light yellow fur. We trimmed the extra length off the end and it hasn't frayed at all.
Both of my boys have the Dublin Dog KOA collar. Sam has the rainbow trout and Frank has the blue marlin. I thought about trimming the extra length because the medium is too small and the large is too long, but instead I thread the excess length through a hair tie fastened to their collars.

I just bought Dublin Dog no stink waterproof for my dogs and they are beautiful! I got the red snapper and brook trout and they look amazing, even better than the pics!
Great quality, they were a little big, probably should have ordered the mediums instead off large, but I just cut the excess off and it looks great.
I also ordered them tags from Boomerang tag, love the quality.
