Add me to the list. I am at least thankful that it's only one of my dogs with the taste for turd and not both. Boys are gross. lol

Since they both are quick to do their business in the morning, we go outside with them, every time. The dirty boy gets followed around so he doesn't snack. We've even walked him on leash in the backyard to curb him from doing it. They get walked daily and we are vigilant about them not picking up anything on the walk. Afternoon let out in the backyard is the same, they are followed.

It stinks, but I always consider that there are worse things. Like picking up a parasite from another animal's feces. Or real physical problems. We work around it.

eli, my frenchie likes a fresh, warm turd. not one that we missed . i mean fresh. like he waits till jake is done, and then…..
and if I'm alone, and screaming from the top step "leave it leave it", in typical frenchie style, he looks right at me, and digs in.

    he's pretty disgusting.

Sam was eating Linus' turds (which was weird because he didn't eat the turds of the other two dogs he's lived with or any visiting dogs) then when I started on raw he just stopped. I'm not sure if it was because HE was eating raw or because the OTHER DOG was eating raw. Well, now that he is back to kibble, I guess I will find out.

Walking on leash to poop and picking up immediately work. There are no "magic pills" I'm afraid.

Ironically both dogs stay out of the cat box. Is that unheard of or what? (*Knocking frantically on wood*)

Years ago I had a roommate with a Lab that ate poop while it was coming out of the other dogs. Gross!

It's really gross when there's ice and snow in the back yard and I know Lee Roy (the house lab) is out there chowing down on poop-cicles.

Ugh...what a topic. Sophie will eat turds too, we think she has an appetite for the cat's droppings because the cat eats a different brand of food. But if we think about the high quality food most (of us?) are feeding our dogs, the turds must resemble a stinky, tasty cookie, no?

    Maybe not. Ugh. lol

Thankfully, Sophie does not eat moist turds - just dried ones.
