Excellent! Not bad on the recall. Something I need to invest in is a longer cord.

I did a slow intro to the water with Macy. She splashed a little. I threw a stick near the shore for her to get without swimming. We went several times and she just splashed on the shore. After just a few trips, she got comfortable and has been paddling away since then.

another vote for another dog or you. It took Emma two visits to the creek for her to get in. Yesterday, she stuck her entire head underwater to grab a branch that was submerged. He just needs to build his confidence, and he'll soon be loving the water!

Takes time. My dogs still don't swim unless they can walk into the lake gradually. We even have a huge pool in the backyard and all they do is lay on the first step!

I went in the water and Zoey followed.

Want to mention that she didnt fully swim until her second summer after she turned one, she preferred to play and splash around when she was your pups age. I didnt force her, she swam when she was ready
