Ya, I had Leo at the park, with check cord on. He was sniffing around because we hadn't been to this park for over a month. Anyway, he got aways away from me and up on the shoulder of the highway. I was scared but didn't want him to bolt across the highway because a truck was coming. I frantically waved his toy and called him over and over. He finally came and got the toy while I grabbed the cord. He's way faster than he used to be. Needless to say the cord was in hand the remainder of our time at the park.
Oh... sh!t!!! Man, good presence of mind. Could have been so bad.
