Thanks to everyone who posted and wrote to me about Kona! I really appreciate you thinking of us!

In case anyone missed it: Kona was diagnosed 10/28 with Bone Cancer in her left rear femur and we had it amputated on 11/5.

Update!
Kona is doing really well! She got her stitches out Tues and the incision site is almost healed. Her pathology report came back with clear Lymph Node! We are starting Chemo on the 30th and I'm holding out hope that we can get this into remission and get many more years with our Girl. We have started going on small walks and she ran the length of 2 houses with my husband yesterday!

Of course Lilly came down with a massive staff infection on her neck for no apparent reason last week. She has always been a nervous nelly. I think I might just arrange for our paycheck to go straight to vet's office. I'm just a middleman these days anyway!

All in all I couldn't ask for anything more with Kona right now. She is happy and playful and her old self. She gets tired easily and if she gets too excited she falls down but other then that she is fab! And she has better manners because she can't jump on everyone who comes to the house anymore

That is great news about Kona! I was just wondering about her this week. I've been off the board so much lately I thought I may have missed the thread. I'm so hopeful she goes into remission!

We will be praying for remission!!!! I am so happy to hear Kona is doing so well. To think that such devastating news can really turn out OK gives us all renewed hope! Hugs and big sloppy kisses from us!! We will be keeping our fingers and paws crossed!
